Data Center Technician Location: Levittown, PA (On-Site) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM Pay: $19-$30/hour based on experience + Overtime Opportunities Employment Type: 6 month Contract-to-Hire Join a Critical Data Center Operations Team We are actively hiring Data Center Technicians to support one of the largest and most advanced data center environments on the East Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians who enjoy hands-on work, cable infrastructure projects, network support, and working within mission-critical environments. The team is expanding to support large-scale infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and ongoing operational initiatives within a state-of-the-art, 200,000-square-foot data center facility. What You'll Be Doing As a Data Center Technician, you will play a key role in supporting network infrastructure and physical layer connectivity throughout the facility. Daily responsibilities include: Working in a live, production data center environment Installing, pulling, routing, and terminating Cat6A cabling Performing fiber optic patching, trunking, and cable management Supporting cross-connect installations and modifications Working within MMRs (Meet Me Rooms), network cages, cabinets, and switch environments Surveying existing infrastructure and documenting network changes Patching network connections and maintaining accurate records Performing troubleshooting activities related to cabling and physical connectivity Supporting equipment moves and infrastructure reconfigurations Safely relocating cabinets and other hardware while adhering to strict facility procedures Maintaining clean, organized, and compliant cable pathways Following all data center safety, environmental, and operational standards Required Qualifications Candidates should possess experience in several of the following areas: Experience working within a live data center environment Understanding of: Meet Me Rooms (MMRs) Cross-connects Network cages Network cabinets Network switches Cable trunking systems Experience pulling and terminating Cat6A cabling Fiber optic patching and trunking experience Experience with surveying, patching, and infrastructure documentation Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to read and follow technical documentation and installation procedures Comfortable performing physically demanding work in a data center environment Preferred Qualifications The following skills are highly desired: Rack and stack experience Fluke testing experience Advanced cable testing and certification Data center migration experience Telecommunications or structured cabling background Infrastructure upgrade project experience Physical Requirements This is a hands-on infrastructure position that requires: Lifting, moving, and positioning equipment Working around large network cabinets and hardware Pulling and dressing cabling throughout the facility Standing, walking, bending, and climbing throughout the shift Following strict procedures when moving equipment weighing up to several thousand pounds using approved methods and safety practices Work Environment Clean, highly controlled data center facility Climate-controlled and dust-free environment Fast-paced, mission-critical setting Strong emphasis on safety, precision, and quality Exposure to enterprise-class network and infrastructure technologies Why Consider This Opportunity? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Levittown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
