About the role
Job Summary: The Workforce Development (WFD) Instructor – GED is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to adult learners preparing for the GED exam. This position supports student achievement by providing engaging, competency-based instruction aligned with state standards and workforce readiness goals. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's in Secondary Education or related field. Two or more years of adult teaching experience. Licensing Requirements: Required to be compliant with PA Child Protective Service Laws. For additional information, please visit Hiring Range: Varies Preferred Qualifications: Job Specific Task List: Provide instruction in GED subject areas (Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies) - (Essential) Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with adult education standards and learner needs - (Essential) Assess student progress and adjust instruction to support academic growth and GED readiness - (Essential) Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress - (Essential) Support student engagement, retention, and goal attainment within a workforce development setting - (Essential) Collaborate with program staff to support student success and workforce readiness outcomes - (Essential) Perform other duties assigned - (Standard) Job Type: Non credit Instructor If part time, hours per week: Up to 20 hours/week About Us: Our Purpose: Learning for all; learning for life.
