Responsibilities: Providing companionship and engaging activities  Using positive, person-centered behavioral support  Helping schedule and manage appointments  Assist clients with in daily living activities and community integration Implement individualized care plans and document client progress and observations Encourage client independence and skill development through positive reinforcement Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and recreational activities Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members regarding client needs Requirements: Prior experience as a PCA, DSP (Direct Support Professional), caregiver, or in a related role preferred Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) strongly preferred Genuine patience, empathy, and a person-centered approach to care Ability to pass a background check and meet state compliance requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work independently CPR/First Aid certification is a plus About Us: ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is a trusted provider of in-home care services dedicated to helping clients live comfortably and independently.
