HR Coordinator/HR Assistant We’re looking for a dependable, organized and people-focused HR Coordinator/HR Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in building a career in Human Resources and has the right attitude, judgment and willingness to learn. The ideal candidate does not need to know everything about HR on day one. We’re looking for someone who is trainable, trustworthy, professional and willing to take ownership. You’ll receive training and hands-on experience across a variety of HR responsibilities while providing day-to-day support to employees and leaders. What You’ll Do Support recruiting, selection, interviewing, hiring and onboarding activities, including job postings, resume screening, applicant testing, background checks, job fairs and extending offers. With guidance from the HR Manager, serve as a resource to employees regarding benefits, company policies, workplace expectations, HR processes and employment-related questions. With guidance from the HR Manager, support leaders in addressing employee and workplace matters, including policy questions, documentation, corrective action and other employee-relations needs. Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation and confidential information. Assist with benefits administration and other routine HR processes. Support employee communications, training and HR projects. Support workplace safety efforts by promoting safe work practices, assisting with safety training and investigations, maintaining safety-related records, and participating in corrective actions as needed. Support the HR team by gathering and analyzing information, identifying needs and assisting with solutions. Participate in HR projects and process improvements that support the effectiveness of the HR function. Continue developing HR knowledge through training, educational opportunities and professional resources. Provide general administrative support to the HR team and assist with other duties as needed. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is professional, dependable and comfortable working with people at all levels. You don’t need to have every HR answer on day one—we can teach the technical side of the role. What matters most is your judgment, character, professionalism and willingness to learn. The right person will: Treat employees with respect while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Be comfortable having difficult or uncomfortable conversations when necessary. Make decisions based on what is right for the employee, the company and the situation—not on being liked. Be fair, consistent and objective when dealing with employees and workplace issues. Take ownership, follow through on commitments and do what you say you will do. Accept coaching, ask questions and be willing to learn. Handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in a Human Resources department, office administration, recruiting or a related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and demonstrated ability will be considered. Basic understanding of employment practices and applicable employment laws. Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with employees and leaders at all levels. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Customer-service mindset with the ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Knowledge of HR disciplines, safety practices, OSHA regulations or HR systems is a plus, but not required. Working Conditions:  Primarily operates in a fast paced, office environment within a manufacturing organization.   Sometime will be spent in production supporting employees. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Occasional travel to various worksites and meetings, mostly local. Responsibilities require willingness to work outside of typical office schedule. Will meet with employees and provide tours, as necessary, on the production floors of all plants.
