The Division of Family Support invites you to join the unique opportunity to build an effective and efficient system of care, support, and assistance for Kentucky citizens who need it most. The Administrative Specialist Senior assumes the duty of administrative support in order to optimize workflow procedures in the office. This position provides high level administrative support to the Nutrition Assistance Branch. For more information on the Department for Community Based Services, please visit our website at: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collects and analyzes Electronic Benefits Transactions (EBT) Card Replacement data. Develops and maintains the tracking and administration of applications received for the Simplified Assistance for the Elderly (SAFE) Program. Provides recommendations on complex policies and procedures for fiscal, personnel, equipment, training and budgetary issues. Entering and maintaining Time and Attendance for the Nutrition Assistance Branch (NAB). Provides professional support to all branches within the Division of Family Support. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently and with limited supervision. Possess strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Department and Division. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
