Description Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics, Middlebury College, MIDDLEBURY, VT. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a three-year visiting assistant professor position in Mathematics and Statistics to begin in Fall 2027. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field should normally be in hand by time of appointment.  The department seeks applicants who will contribute to teaching our core major requirements in algebra and analysis and offer electives that augment our curriculum in pure and applied mathematics.  The successful candidate will teach courses at all levels of the curriculum, from our introductory calculus sequence to our senior offerings.    As part of a full teaching load, the candidate will also regularly contribute to Middlebury's First Year Seminar Program and Winter Term course offerings, as described in our teaching load guidelines.  All faculty at Middlebury are also expected to contribute service to the College.   Middlebury College is a top-tier liberal arts college with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in faculty teaching, research, and service.
