A Brief Overview The US LBM Engineering Standards & Governance Lead is responsible for establishing and driving enterprise-wide software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards, engineering governance, and engineering performance measurement across US LBM. This role develops scalable engineering standards, implements configuration-as-code practices across Azure DevOps environments, and delivers executive-level reporting on engineering health and delivery performance. Working closely with engineering, architecture, data, and security leaders, this position promotes consistent development practices, measurable operational excellence, and AI-enabled engineering productivity across the enterprise. What you will do Establish, maintain, and drive adoption of enterprise SDLC standards across Azure DevOps, including repository governance, branching strategies, pull request reviews, build validation, deployment pipelines, and release management. Develop and govern an enterprise engineering standards library covering secure development practices, coding standards, infrastructure-as-code, integration patterns, and architecture requirements. Implement and manage configuration-as-code solutions to standardize repository settings, branch policies, security controls, templates, and development workflows across engineering teams. Lead the design and operation of engineering metrics programs, including DORA metrics, operational performance measures, and engineering health scorecards. Build and maintain data pipelines that collect, transform, and report engineering performance data from Azure DevOps analytics and related systems. Define enterprise AI development standards, governance frameworks, adoption measures, and guardrails for AI-assisted software delivery. Chair cross-functional standards governance forums and collaborate with Architecture, Data, Security, and Engineering leaders to review standards and approve exceptions. Deliver executive-facing reports and insights that provide a clear, defensible view of engineering effectiveness, quality, delivery performance, and AI adoption. Lead organizational change initiatives that drive adoption of engineering standards and best practices through influence and collaboration. Required For All Jobs Perform other duties as assigned. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required. Experience Qualifications 5 years in software engineering, DevOps, engineering operations, platform engineering, enterprise architecture, or related technical leadership roles. Proven success leading enterprise SDLC transformation and adoption across complex organizations. Deep Azure DevOps experience, including Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts, Analytics, Service Connections, branch policies, and REST APIs. Experience implementing governance, standards, and configuration-as-code across multiple teams and repositories. Experience developing engineering performance metrics using DORA, DevEx, SPACE, or similar frameworks. Experience building engineering dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting. Experience implementing AI-assisted development practices, governance standards, and risk controls in enterprise engineering environments. Skills and Abilities Ability to influence senior technical leaders and drive change without direct authority. Azure DevOps governance, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration management. SDLC standards, secure development, application security, and cloud-native platform practices. Engineering metrics, analytics, data pipelines, dashboards, and executive reporting. AI-assisted development governance, adoption, and performance measurement. Strategic planning, enterprise governance, policy, standards, and framework development. Executive communication, technical writing, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement. DORA, SPACE, and DevEx frameworks preferred. Developer portals such as Backstage or Docusaurus preferred. GitHub Advanced Security, SonarCloud, and DevSecOps preferred. Kubernetes, GitOps, and event-driven architecture preferred. Enterprise AI governance and adoption preferred. .
