Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH! MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Program Manager to join our team in Arlington, VA. This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite. The ideal candidate will utilize deep technical fluency in DoD simulation frameworks, along with a proven track record of managing technical scope, schedules, risks, and senior stakeholder relationships across the Pentagon and Air Force leadership. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee the planning, delivery, and programmatic execution of complex Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (M&SA) programs Define, track, and execute technical roadmaps, project milestones, and deliverables for advanced MS&A software and modeling initiatives Translate complex Air Force operational concepts into actionable software requirements, modeling tasks, and project workflows for technical teams Lead multi-disciplinary teams of operations research analysts, software engineers, and domain experts, clearing technical blockers and ensuring the timely translation of military Concepts of Operations (CONOPs) into validated, high-impact M&S capabilities Evaluate technical trade-offs, scope creep, and schedule risks. Ensure analytical outputs are methodologies-sound before delivery to executive sponsors Serve as the primary technical point of contact for senior leadership across the Pentagon and Air Force, translating complex analytical models into clear executive dashboards and strategic briefs This position will require up to 25% travel Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline 10+ years of experience leading technical projects, engineering roadmaps, or analytical teams, utilizing Agile/Scrum or formal program management structures Experience with and technical understanding of core DoD simulation frameworks (e.g., AFSIM, STORM, or CFAM) and modern concepts (e.g., JADC2, multi-domain operations) Experience reading and understanding technical code frameworks, data structures, or analytical outputs (e.g., C++, Python, R) to effectively direct engineering teams and evaluate technical risk Preferred Qualifications Former military Operations Research Analyst (ORSA), Navy/Air Force Operational Analyst, or experience in Joint Operations PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent technical project management credential Master’s degree in operations research, systems engineering, software engineering, data science, or a related discipline Clearance Requirements: Must have a current or active TS/SCI with SAP/SAR eligibility Physical Requirements: The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. The projected compensation range for this position is $169,100.00-$303,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
