About the role

Orleans/Niagara BOCES TEACHER AIDE- ESY Job Description: The individual will provide services in programs of special education during our Extended School Year Program.  The individual will need the ability to take direction, be flexible, be able to exercise patience, and work collaboratively as a team member.  The individual should have knowledge of or experience with students with disabilities.  Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) and de-escalation training is preferred.  Regarding physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position, requirements may include the abilities to regularly and repetitively stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, kneel, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40lbs.  Regular attendance and dependability are required.  Other responsibilities may be assigned.  The assignment is subject to change. Requirements:   Civil Service � Non-competitive. High school diploma or GED required. Program Dates: July 2, 2026- Orientation, July 6, 2026 through August 14, 2026 Salary: $20.00 per hour paid through time sheet
