This position creates and manages digital and social media content that promotes academic programs, highlights the value of an arts and sciences education and research, and strengthens engagement with students and alumni. The coordinator works collaboratively across the college to identify content opportunities, develop consistent brand-aligned messaging, and maximize reach across digital platforms. Examples of duties Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Demonstrated knowledge of major social media platforms and best practices for the strategic dissemination of digital content in a higher education environment.- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, digital media editing (photo and video), design software, and web-based tools for managing and scheduling social media content.- Strong written communication and editorial skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate content.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting to develop and deliver effective communications.- Experience capturing high-quality visual content using cameras or mobile devices to support institutional storytelling and engagement. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications- A bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism or a related field plus three years of relevant work experience, OR a master's degree plus one year of relevant work experience.
