As a Senior Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within Enterprise Technology (Infrastructure Platforms), you provide specialized expertise to influence the target state architecture and strategy. You work across teams to implement and advance the adoption of complex strategic global solutions that give JPMorganChase a competitive advantage. Job responsibilities Advise and lead on strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio Design, govern, and oversee the implementation of robust, scalable, and efficient architectural solutions for cross-domain business problems, driving adoption and reuse of preferred resources, processes, and technology across domains and portfolios Lead reuse-first adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis, option evaluation, and delivery of strategic global solutions, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data Translate highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm's innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture Act as a liaison between Infrastructure Platform and Line of Business teams to ensure alignment and understanding Drive adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies, creating durable, reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions Establish and lead an architecture governance body Communicate effectively to group leadership, management, and teams throughout the company Establish portfolio-level guardrails for AI-assisted and agentic workflows used in architecture and engineering governance, including traceability, auditability, and control expectations aligned to resiliency and security standards Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training and multiple professional-level certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) and Google Cloud (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect) 10+ years of applied experience with at least 5 years in a Senior, Lead, or Principal Architect role, repeatedly directing significantly large and complex architecture initiatives, developing capabilities that typically involve different stakeholders, multiple products and geographies, many solution varieties, highly regulated environments, and business transformations at mass scale Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Expertise in one or more programming languages, applications, and architecture disciplines Demonstrated experience leading safe adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment across architecture workflows, including validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity Ability to evaluate and govern AI-enabled architectural patterns (including agentic workflows) with clear control boundaries, auditability, and human approval checkpoints aligned to resiliency and security expectations Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines Extensive practical cloud-native experience Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Banking and financial services experience or relevant technology domain experience Experience with governance, risk, regulatory, and compliance frameworks Skills and knowledge spanning multiple architecture domains (e.g., Business Architecture, Application/Solution Architecture, Technical/Infrastructure Architecture, and Information/Data Architecture) Deep hands-on expertise across hybrid multi-cloud environments: on-premise, AWS, and/or GCP/Azure Working fluency in the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its application to safety- and payment-adjacent workloads Proven leadership ability to inspire teams toward common goals         JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
