Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer.  This role is based at our Waukesha, WI facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.  The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.   Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Are you ready to help shape the future of voltage regulator technology through innovative product development and continuous improvement. In this role, you'll work hands-on with product design, testing, manufacturing, and problem solving while leading projects from concept through production. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll solve complex engineering challenges and deliver solutions that improve performance, quality, reliability, and customer value. Product Development •    Design and improve products to enhance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. •    Lead product development projects from concept through production launch. •    Apply engineering analysis and participate in design reviews, DFM/DFA, and value engineering activities. Continuous Improvement •    Drive initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. •    Support manufacturing by resolving technical challenges and implementing product enhancements. •    Develop new processes, tools, and methodologies that support business growth. Collaboration & Leadership •    Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions. •    Lead projects, manage priorities, and drive successful execution. •    Provide technical guidance and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: •    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution  •    Two (2) years of experience designing mechanical or electromechanical systems. •    Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc •    Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI.    Preferred Qualifications: •    Experience with product development, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement initiatives. •    Knowledge of FEA, strength of materials, and mechanical design analysis. •    Familiarity with materials, welding processes, and manufacturing methods. •    Experience with structured problem-solving, quality tools, and root cause analysis. •    Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, Lean, Six Sigma, or Design for Six Sigma methodologies. •    Proficiency with CAD software and Minitab. •    Experience leading projects and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
