EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Senior Clinical Director/ Psychologist to join the Jail Population Review Program.   Salary: $200,000/year Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday - Friday Location: 175 Remsen Street, 5th Floor in Brooklyn,NY   What drives the core purpose of this job: The Senior Clinical Director / Psychologist provides clinical leadership and quality oversight for the Jail Population Review initiative. The position is responsible for ensuring that clinical assessments and reports meet program, contractual, ethical, and professional standards. The role provides training and supervision to clinical staff, supervises limited permit staff as appropriate, supports complex case consultation, and collaborates with EAC clinical teams to ensure warm handoffs when individuals assessed through Population Review are approved for ATI services.   What are the key responsibilities: Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Jail Population Review assessments, reports, and clinical practices. Train Clinical Assessors, Psychologists, Substance Use Assessment Specialists, limited permit staff, interns, fellows, and other clinical staff on assessment standards, documentation, report writing, risk identification, and referral recommendations. Develop and maintain a structured clinical training program for new and existing staff. Review clinical reports for quality, accuracy, completeness, clinical formulation, relevance, appropriate source citation, and consistency with program standards. Represent the agency in case conferences with court stakeholders to discuss assessment findings, clinical impressions, treatment recommendations, and case planning. Ensure assessments and reports align with Jail Population Review requirements, including formulation of clinical presentation, psychosocial history, psychiatric history, substance use history, treatment needs, and community-based treatment recommendations. Provide clinical supervision to limited permit staff and other staff requiring supervision within the scope of licensure and agency policy. Provide consultation on complex clinical cases, including serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, cognitive concerns, violence risk, and cases requiring psychological testing or specialized assessment. Determine, in consultation with clinical staff and program leadership, when psychological testing or a higher-level clinical evaluation is warranted. Collaborate with the Program Director to support appropriate case assignment, clinical escalation, report review, and timely completion of assessments. Work with EAC clinical and case management staff to support warm handoffs when individuals assessed through Population Review are accepted into Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) programming. Collaborate with the Agency Medical Director on clinical standards, psychiatric consultation needs, complex case planning, quality improvement, and strategic clinical direction. Support recruitment, onboarding, and supervision structures for interns, fellows, limited permit staff, and early-career clinicians. Participate in hiring recommendations for clinical positions and assist in evaluating clinical qualifications. Monitor clinical trends, report quality issues, training needs, and workflow barriers, and recommend corrective action. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, quality assurance reviews, and program planning meetings. Ensure all clinical practices comply with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, agency policies, ethical standards, and contractual expectations. Perform psychological evaluations and in-person psychological testing when needed, particularly for complex cases, overflow, training support, or quality assurance purposes. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Provides direct clinical supervision to: Limited permit staff Interns and fellows Clinical staff requiring clinical supervision, as assigned.   What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role: Strong expertise in forensic assessment, psychological evaluation, and court-informed clinical reporting. Ability to train and supervise multidisciplinary clinical staff. Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic formulation, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, serious mental illness, and justice-involved populations. Ability to evaluate report quality and ensure findings are supported by available evidence. Knowledge of psychological testing and the ability to determine when testing is clinically necessary. Ability to collaborate effectively with medical, clinical, legal, and case management teams. Strong written communication skills and the ability to establish clear report standards. Ability to build clinical training infrastructure for staff, interns, and fellows. Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree in Psychology required. Current license as a Psychologist in New York State required. Minimum of five years of experience conducting psychological, forensic, behavioral health, or court-related clinical assessments. Minimum of two years of supervisory, training, or clinical leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising limited permit staff, interns, fellows, or early-career clinicians. Experience with ATI, court-based programs, incarcerated populations, or forensic behavioral health settings. Experience developing clinical training curricula or quality assurance systems.
