The Procurement Category Manager, Indirect Materials & Services is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering cost, quality, service, and risk management objectives across a portfolio of indirect spend categories. Primary areas of responsibility include test and lab equipment, engineering contracting and technical services, and select corporate indirect materials and services. This role partners closely with Engineering, R&D, Operations, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure a reliable, cost-effective supply base that supports innovation, operational excellence, and business growth. The successful candidate will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, value creation, and continuous improvement across assigned categories. What You Can Expect Category Strategy & Strategic Sourcing Develop and execute category strategies for test and lab equipment, engineering services, and other indirect materials and services. Lead RFIs, RFPs, supplier selection, negotiations, contract execution, and supplier onboarding activities. Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier capabilities to identify cost savings, risk mitigation, and innovation opportunities. Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements through supplier consolidation, standardization, and lifecycle management. Support capital equipment planning and procurement activities for engineering and lab environments. Supplier Relationship Management Develop and maintain strategic relationships with equipment suppliers, technical service providers, contractors, and corporate service suppliers. Conduct supplier business reviews and monitor performance against cost, quality, delivery, service, and innovation metrics. Lead supplier risk assessments, performance improvement initiatives, and business continuity planning efforts. Engineering & Corporate Services Procurement Partner with engineering and lab teams to source test equipment, laboratory instruments, calibration and maintenance services, engineering contractors, and specialized technical resources. Support procurement activities across corporate indirect categories such as facilities services, professional services, workplace services, and other assigned business support functions. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize spend, improve service delivery, and ensure sourcing decisions align with business objectives and technical requirements. Contract & Commercial Management Negotiate pricing, statements of work, service agreements, maintenance contracts, and commercial terms. Manage supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, compliance, and performance management. Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and value creation initiatives. What We're Looking For Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills. Proven ability to deliver measurable cost savings and business value. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities. Preferred Experience sourcing test and lab equipment, engineering services, contingent labor, or technical service providers. Experience managing corporate services and indirect procurement categories in a technology, semiconductor, manufacturing, or engineering environment. Knowledge of category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and total cost of ownership (TCO) methodologies. Expected Base Pay Range (USD) 127,270 - 190,000, $ per annum The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions. This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.
