SUMMARY:   The Label Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, printing, verification, inventory control, and distribution of production labels. This position plays an important role in supporting food safety, quality, traceability, regulatory compliance, and production operations. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Set up and operate computers and label printers used for production. Select the appropriate blank labels and ribbons and properly install them into the printer. Print the required quantities of labels for meals, kits, boxes, buckhorns, components, and fulfillment operations. Verify label accuracy before release for production. Maintain accurate records of labels removed from inventory. Record quantities of labels printed. Record and account for scrap or rejected labels. Remove required labels from inventory in accordance with established procedures. Monitor label inventory levels and notify the appropriate Buyer when supplies appear to be low. Notify the supervisor and IT when computers, printers, or related equipment are not functioning properly. Maintain organized and accurate label inventory and records. Follow all applicable food safety, quality, GMP, sanitation, safety, and company procedures. Immediately communicate any labeling discrepancy or potential product identification issue to the appropriate supervisor/FSQA personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. $16/hour Qualifications   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Education: Associates degree required Bachelors preferred   Computer Skills: Proficiency with computer applications. Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for inventory reconciliation and recordkeeping.   Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to identify and report discrepancies. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with Production, Warehouse, FSQA, Sanitation, Maintenance, IT, and other departments. Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Previous experience in labeling, inventory control, food manufacturing, quality assurance, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, operate, and control equipment and materials. Stand for portions of the workday and walk between work areas. Lift and/or move materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally lift materials while turning or maneuvering from side to side. Perform work requiring close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed primarily in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. The work is performed secondarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, specifically the packing and warehousing areas. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Standing portion of the workday is required. Work requires movement in and out of storerooms, near heavy machinery and freezers Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Salary Target $16/hour
