About the role
Production Support keeps material flowing to the production floor across departments 408, 416, and 422. This role stages components, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports Team Leaders and Operators to keep the line running without interruption. It's a hands-on warehouse role in an active production plant. Key Responsibilities: Collect all components needed for each item and stage material as scheduled Place orders from the Main Room warehouse using Oracle Print labels for cartons Complete weekly cycle counts in Oracle Ensure 408 inventory is accurate at all times by verifying physical inventory matches Oracle quantities Assist Team Leaders with transactions and scheduling Fill in for Team Leaders in their absence Coordinate with Team Leads and Operators to ensure they have the tools and materials they need to succeed Provide materials to operators in a timely manner to minimize downtime Check emails consistently and read all reports Participate in special projects across 408, 416, and 422, including 5S and Lean Manufacturing improvements Assist with monthly safety presentations, tests, and One-Point Lessons Minimum Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with 408, 416, and 422 operations Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office 365, M-D Intranet, and Oracle) Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills Forklift certification is a plus, but not required Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Working familiarity with 408, 416, and 422 operations Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365, M-D Intranet, and Oracle Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay ahead of production material needs Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision Ability to read, understand, and follow written reports and instructions Forklift certification a plus, but not required Physical Demands and Work Environment Warehouse-based position in an active production plant with concrete floors Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to twist, bend, and reach throughout the shift Prolonged standing and walking Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with equipment and machinery in operation M-D Building Products has been a trusted name in American construction for over 106 years.
