Our team currently consists of 16 physicians and 4 A P P's. Our physicians provide inpatient critical care at WakeMed as well as inpatient pulmonology services and  eICU  coverage. Typical procedures include bronchoscopy, central lines, intubation,  thoracentesis  among others.  Typical  full-time schedule is approximately 16 in-house shifts per month. Nightshifts are  supported  with  eICU  cross-coverage and  assistance. Fantastic opportunity for those who have an interest in clinical teaching as our physicians also supervise second-year ED residents who rotate through our ICUs. Sleep training  a plus  but not  required. Qualified candidates must be BE/BC.      Physicians in this role will provide high-quality clinical care while also participating in the teaching and supervision of residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
