Pay Range:  Unpaid Hours: Weekday availability Duration: Semester-based, with the opportunity to extend based on organizational need and intern performance Reports To: Operations Manager Job Summary: Cornerstone is seeking a motivated and dedicated Operations Intern to support our mission of creating communities where individuals and families are safe and children thrive. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a non-profit environment dedicated to reducing domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and general crime. The intern will provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and other team members, assisting with a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the organization. Please note this is an unpaid internship, well-suited for students seeking academic credit or hands-on professional experience in the non-profit sector. Responsibilities Administrative Support: Assist with general office duties, including filing, answering phones, data entry, and managing correspondence. Meeting & Event Support: Help with the coordination of meetings and events by compiling necessary resources, preparing meeting materials, and assisting with logistics. This includes providing logistical support for internal and external organizational events. Communication & Correspondence: Help manage correspondence and support the prioritization of tasks by tracking to-dos and slating tasks appropriately. Office Operations: Assist with office and operations support by conducting research to inform and initiate new processes to enhance administrative operations. Data & Records Management: Help maintain, organize, and label paper and electronic filing systems, including sorting and archiving records for easy retrieval. Support a file retention and destruction project to ensure records are kept and disposed of in line with organizational policy. Research: Conduct research to support the organization's initiatives. Hiring & Onboarding Support: Assist the Operations Manager with scheduling interviews, organizing candidate materials, and supporting new hire onboarding logistics. Qualifications Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., non-profit management, social work, business administration, or a related field. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom, and a comfort with technology. Ability to exercise good judgment and deal with confidential information with discretion. A passion for social justice and a commitment to Cornerstone's mission. Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
