Duties and Responsibilities: Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care during shift, ensuring complete and prompt reporting of incidents to Administrator and Director of Nursing Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit Perform nursing assessments regarding the health/status of residents and ensure that significant changes in resident condition are communicated to the physician, family, or responsible party Complete rounding throughout the facility to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met, including monitoring of dining room during meal times Work collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary care team to provide holistic care Review clinical records for completeness and accuracy as necessary Monitor, track, evaluate, and report infections Act as a resource for nursing staff and review applications for admission to the unit with Director of Nursing and Admissions Director Collaborate with Director of Nursing to identify and provide orientation and continuing education for clinical team members Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing plus 5 years of experience as a long-term care nurse, with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in acute, sub-acute, or long-term care Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois Proficient in the use of computer and programs utilized by the facility Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing Respect the principles of Resident Rights, confidentiality, EEO, and ADA Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Short-Term Disability Insurance Accident Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan On-Demand Pay Option Paid Time Off (PTO) Tuition Reimbursement Program If you are a motivated and dedicated Nursing Supervisor looking for a new opportunity, we encourage you to apply today!
