Job Summary: The Manufacturing Operations Leader is responsible for leading all day-to-day operations of our Tube and Duct assembly business unit consisting primarily of certified welders and skilled manufacturing employees. This role provides leadership for a manufacturing organization consisting of salaried front-line leaders and a workforce of 50+ hourly employees and is accountable for operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead all manufacturing operations within the assigned business unit to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to salaried direct reports and front-line leadership teams to ensure effective daily execution. Drive a Lean manufacturing culture focused on waste elimination, standard work, visual management, root cause problem solving, and continuous improvement. Own and manage key operational KPIs, including safety, quality, delivery, labor productivity, and cost performance, developing and executing action plans to close performance gaps. Maintain a strong floor presence through Gemba walks, daily management practices, and employee engagement to drive accountability and operational discipline. Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and support strategic business priorities. Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. Occasionally lifts 25 - 40 #’s Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent and relevant manufacturing leadership experience. 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in a complex or highly regulated environment. Demonstrated experience leading front-line leaders and large hourly workforces. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive measurable operational results. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Desired Characteristics: Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
