MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate CNC machinery and equipment used in the manufacture of products • Follow operating manuals, maintenance instructions and standard operating procedures • Document all work performed on inspection reports and travelers/work orders • Performs in-process inspection of all parts and/or assemblies in accordance with the requirements stated in the work order or as otherwise stated on drawings or work instructions • Performs visual inspection both unaided and using microscopes • Performs various dimensional inspection using specific gauges, measuring tools or dimensional inspection systems • Deburr parts as required • Verify calibration on tools, gages, fixtures • Adjust machine offsets and work coordinates with supervision • Observe all Viant Safety procedures and use of proper PPE • Follow company safety procedures and OSHA lockout-tag out regulations for equipment under power • Performs additional duties as requested POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge/Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent required Job Experience: • Minimum 1 year experience in relevant manufacturing environment, preferably in a machine shop Skills/Competencies: • Ability to learn to read and interpret blueprints • Demonstrated experience using various measurement tools (tool maker scope, calipers, micrometers, etc.) • Ability to understand defects and have quality awareness Physical Requirements: • Light work: Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
