Description   Medical Scribe Float- LPN, or RN   Filling in for multiple physicians as needed, this role combines medical scribe and nursing responsibilities to support efficient high-quality patient care. The position involves real-time documentation of patient visits, procedures, and physician-patient interactions, ensuring accurate, compliant medical records. It also includes delivering direct patient care, assisting in assessments, managing patient communications, and supporting clinical workflows. Strong clinical judgment, particularly in cardiology, effective communication, and proficiency with electronic medical records are essential to ensure smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient service.   Medical Scribe Responsibilities   Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician, including but not limited to: patient medical history & physical exam; patient education and explanation of risks and benefits; physician dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instructions for patient or family members for self-care or follow-up; preparation of documents as directed by the physician   Identifies mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct the information to reduce errors.?All addenda must be signed off by a physician. Ensures that all clinical data, lab or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record.    Alerts physician when chart is incomplete.   Complies with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential.   Nursing Duties   Provides nursing care to patients and accepts delegation from assigned supervisor and/or provider to meet the needs of the patient/family    Collects data and information to assist the clinical team and/or the provider in patient assessment and care planning which includes but is not limited to:   Triaging patients   Communicating through telephone encounters   Reviewing past documents   Reviewing hospital/clinical records   Prioritizing patient assignments   Completing patient assistance and prior authorizations for medications    Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, as well as in accordance with policies and procedures of the office   Possesses excellent communication skills and participates in teamwork   Effectively and respectfully communicates with other departments of the office   Demonstrates gastroenterology related knowledge and appropriately applies knowledge to patient care   Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as computer/electronic medical record systems skills   Exhibit an ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting   Holds/maintains a current RN, LPN, or MA license and maintains Basic Life Support (BLS)   Independently completes assignments in a timely manner  Requirements   Education and Qualifications   Holds/maintains active LPN or RN license in Georgia Holds/maintains active BLS certification   If RN, holds/maintains active ACLS certification     Full-Time Benefits & Perks   Set scheduled 4-day work week   Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (effective 1st of the month following 60 days)   Company-paid Long-Term Disability (60%) and $25,000 Basic Life Insurance   6 Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4 of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas   PTO accrued at 3.08 hours per paycheck (80 hrs / yr )   401k matching program after 1 year worked   VIP Status at both Southeastern Cardiology and Southeastern Gastroenterology   Compensation   Starting Hourly Pay: $22.50 per hour  Salary based on experience- Starting pay will be determined based on the candidate's relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
