About the role

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of  Long-Term Substitute Band Teacher  at Jefferson Middle School during the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, on-site, temporary vacancy, with start and end dates to be determined, but currently anticipated to be October 8, 2026, through January 14, 2027 (61days). Due to the length of the assignment, this position will be eligible for the degree level daily rate for step 1 of the teachers salary schedule with rates starting at $297 per day depending upon credential. This position will not be eligible for paid time off or district subsidized health benefits.  Required: Active Instructional Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Music PK-12. Applicants with pending certifications through the PA Department of Education may be considered with college/university placeholder letter stating completion of a PDE approved teacher preparation program and evidence of passing scores on certification examinations.
