About the role

Qualifications: 48 College Credits or an Associate's Degree or passed the State Title I Paraprofessional Test  Transcripts issued outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized, accredited credential evaluation service to determine U.S. equivalency Experience working with children along with an interest in education  Good written and verbal communication skills  Ability to maintain confidentiality while also presenting a positive image of the organization to members of the community  Experience working with the autistic population preferred but not required  Successful experience in working in a team setting  Ability to work with the teacher to plan, organize and implement responsibilities effectively  Lunch, recess, and bus arrival/dismissal supervision daily Other duties as assigned by building Principal  Hourly rate: $20.00 per hour *In accordance with S-414/A-3188 ( school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers ("employers") are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
