The Goddard School of State College is seeking candidates for full-time Early Childhood Teachers in our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K programs. Candidates will help create a caring, nurturing, and safe environment for children and assist with activities that improve overall care and the quality of education. Job Responsibilities: Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Plan learning activities within established classroom centers. Implement prepared lessons and activities in small- and large-group settings throughout the program day. Assist children with managing all parts of the program day, including transitions between activities, meals, toileting/diapering & washing hands, structured activities, etc. Establish positive, effective family relationships through interactive parent communication. Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Industry-leading Quality Assurance standards Qualifications: Shows empathy and compassion for young children Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal Experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, volunteer, or babysitting setting for Assistant Teachers. A degree or certificate (CDA) in early childhood, elementary education, related human services field, or early childhood coursework is required for Lead Teachers. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
