About the role

Duties and Responsibilities: ● Develops and executes a strategic vision of Study Away ● Develops new, high quality study abroad exchange programs ● Collaborates with faculty to develop and offer study away courses ● Promotes University Study Away vision and programs ● Administers study abroad programs, including study abroad exchange partnership and providers ● Develops and communicates Global Engagement policies and procedures ● Develops and administers study away course policies and procedures in collaboration with faculty ● Manages Study Away and Global Scholar budgets ● Administers the F-1 and J-1 international student immigration processes and maintains F-1 and J-1 international student records documentation. ● Ensures institutional compliance with applicable federal F-1 and J-1 immigration regulations and reporting requirements ● Provides individualized advising to students on their study away options, preparation, and re-acclimation ● Develops and implements pre-departure study away workshops, materials, and on-line instruction for study away courses ● Provides advising to international students regarding immigration requirements, procedures, and compliance ● Conducts annual Study Away assessment, including assessing Student Learning Outcomes ● Composes annual Study Away report ● Participates in the collection and analysis of data and evidence for reporting to The Commission on Colleges and Universities ● Performs other duties as assigned.   Qualifications ● Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required ● Experience with study away administration and programs ● Experience with F-1 and J-1 visa regulations and the SEVIS system ● Experience instructing and advising college students ● Ability to develop and execute a strategic vision and plan ● Understanding of a liberal arts education ● Ability to collaborate with faculty ● Excellent oral and written communication skills ● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail ● Experience managing budgets ● College-level teaching experience ● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Salary: Mid-$50,000s, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
