Our Interns   work   a hybrid schedule and spend some days working on-site at our Omaha office   located   in Aksarben Village.    Therefore, you will need to live within commuting distance from   Wednesday, May 26 – Friday, July 30, 2027.     Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is seeking motivated students with a passion for cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operational excellence. This internship offers hands-on experience in enterprise security, cloud infrastructure, and Agile best practices in a collaborative and rewarding environment.   What you'll do: Security Operations & Monitoring:   Work alongside SOC analysts to   monitor   alerts, investigate threats, and support incident response using tools like Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, and Proofpoint   Tooling & Automation:   Gain exposure to   Cribl, CyberArk, and automation platforms used to streamline observability and access management   Training & Development:   Complete SOC Core Skills, Sentinel KQL training, and immersive labs.
