About the role

Are you experienced in agile delivery and confident managing competing priorities across a   complex   portfolio of   production and technology   work? Do you know how to turn a constant flow of requests into clear priorities, realistic   plans   and predictable delivery? Are you   motivated by the opportunity to lead and develop a team?   As   Content Delivery Program Manager, you will bring structure,   prioritisation   and operational leadership to CFA Institute’s Content Production & Delivery work. You will own the way work enters, moves   through   and is prioritised across the delivery pipeline, helping teams balance urgent requests with planned delivery rather than continually stopping and restarting work.   You will also lead a team of Content Production Specialists responsible for business-as-usual curriculum production, giving you the opportunity to combine hands-on   portfolio   delivery   leadership   with   team management and development. Working across Education and technical teams, you will help ensure work is clearly defined, appropriately sequenced and delivered against organisational priorities.   What   You’ll   Do   Own backlog structure, sprint and release planning, intake   governance   and prioritisation across Content Production & Delivery work, ensuring urgent projects, production activity and technical troubleshooting requests are balanced against existing commitments and available capacity.   Develop clear sequencing and timeline recommendations   that balance   urgency, impact,   capacity   and   organisational priorities.   Lead and develop a team of three Content Production Specialists, setting priorities, managing   workloads   and supporting high-quality delivery.   Provide operational leadership for recurring curriculum production work across CFA Institute programs and certificates, ensuring priorities, workloads and delivery plans   remain   aligned.   Partner with Content Production & Delivery leadership, Education   stakeholders   and technical contributors to resolve delivery barriers and keep work progressing.   Improve delivery practices across backlog management, estimation, sprint   planning   and release readiness,   establishing   clear intake expectations and acceptance criteria so work is well defined before entering the delivery pipeline.   Use delivery   performance   metrics such as cycle time, throughput, sprint predictability, dependency ageing and backlog health to   identify   risks and support planning decisions.   Identify   systemic delivery risks, recommend mitigation   actions   and escalate significant issues where   appropriate.   What   We’re   Looking For   Strong experience in   agile project,   program   or delivery management, with demonstrable ownership of sprint planning, backlog   management   and prioritisation.   Strong working knowledge of   JIRA   or a comparable agile delivery management platform.   Previous   people management experience, including setting priorities, managing   workload   and coaching or developing team members.   Evidence of managing competing requests and translating changing business priorities into practical sequencing and delivery plans.   Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, align competing perspectives and support   informed prioritisation decisions across technical and non-technical teams.   Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, particularly when   identifying   delivery bottlenecks, execution   risks   or recurring inefficiencies.   Experience   establishing   effective intake and requirements practices so work is appropriately defined before entering delivery.   The judgement and confidence to challenge priorities constructively, communicate trade-offs and escalate significant risks when needed.   Experience working in or alongside content production, publishing or learning technology environments would be an advantage.     Why Join Us   Take ownership of   a   business-critical portfolio   spanning content production and technology delivery.   Step into a newly   created   role   with the scope to shape how work is planned,   prioritised   and delivered.   Lead   and develop   an established   team while   building stronger, more scalable ways of working.   Work across Education,   production   and technology teams,   with visibility into a broad range of   learning products   and initiatives.   Make a measurable difference to delivery predictability, operational   efficiency   and the   ability of specialist teams to focus on their highest-value work.   At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process.
