About the role

Objective: Support the Construction Project Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of construction and facility improvement projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world construction project management while supporting active projects from design through completion.   Role and Responsibilities: ·         Assist the Construction Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination ·         Support project planning, scheduling, and documentation ·         Help monitor construction progress, timelines, and quality standards ·         Assist with site visits, inspections, and documentation of project status ·         Support the design and engineering phases of projects (drawing, review specifications, change tracking) ·         Help prepare weekly reports and project updates for leadership ·         Assist with vendor coordination, material tracking, and basic cost monitoring ·         Maintain organized project files, drawings, permits, and compliance documentation ·         Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to negotiations with contractors and suppliers ·         Perform additional administrative and project support duties as assigned   Qualifications and Education Requirements ·         High school diploma or GED required ·         Currently pursuing or recently completed education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related technical or trade program ·         Basic understanding of construction principles, tools, or jobsite practices preferred ·         Willingness to learn and work in an active construction environment   Work Environment ·         Combination of office and construction site settings ·         Exposure to active construction areas, equipment, and varying weather conditions ·         Collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers   Physical Requirements: ·         Ability to walk construction sites and stand for extended periods ·         Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally ·         Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain and active job sites   Additional Requirements: ·         Strong communication and organizational skills ·         Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions ·         Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word; project software exposure a plus) ·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation ·         Willingness to travel to local project sites as needed ·         Professional attitude and commitment to safety Benefits Summary PIPESTONE offers Part time benefits: PTO and 401K upon eligibility.
