Communication Specialist

About the role

Location: Meacham Airport Department: Transport-Ground Shift: Varying Shifts (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: Individual will be the primary contact for requests to transfer and transport patients. Will coordinate and monitor transport by ground ambulance, helicopter and fixed wing aircraft and accurately document all related written and computerized information in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume, high-stress environment. Individual should be highly organized and have strong customer service, communication and computer skills, and have the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships. Education: High School Diploma. State certified EMT, EMT-P, or EMD certification with 1-2 years EMS and/or dispatch experience. Typing 40 - 50 wpm preferred Certification/Licensure: Texas certified EMT, EMT-P, or certified EMD BLS (within 90 days of employment) Metro Communications Center Training (within 1 year of employment) About Us: Cook Children’s is an equal opportunity employer.
