College & Career Readiness (CCR) Adjunct Instructor

College: DCC Department: Academic Affairs Sub department: Adult Education Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Adjunct Duties and Responsibilities:   Implement suggested curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students, which prepare students to enhance communication skills, basic education skills and/or pass high school equivalency tests. Provide students with opportunities to practice and demonstrate learning objectives and share targeted feedback. Keep daily attendance records and progress reports. Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records. Collaborate with CCR instructional team across modalities to enhance and share curriculum. Implement best practices for classroom facilitation. Leverage available technology to both increase access to and impact of instruction. Support on campus events for orientation, testing, and scheduling students between class sessions. Follow all policy set forth by administration to measure and document student educational gains, attendance, and attainment of goals. Participate in all local and state professional development activities that are generated and recommended by Adult Education administration. Attend all staff meetings and in-service workshops. Adhere to policy and procedure regarding confidentiality of student records. Maintain a clean and professional classroom environment. Other duties as assigned. Required Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Required Experience:  One (1) year teaching experience Required Licenses or Certifications:  N/A Preferred Education:  Master’s Degree in Adult Education, Reading, English, Math, or related field with teaching experience in Adult Education.
