Coach:   Assistant Boys Basketball (JV) Site:  Olathe Middle/High School Season Dates:  November 16, 2026 - February 27, 2027 Salary Schedule: Extra Curricular Activities - Category C (range $3981 - $4715, based on related experience School Summary Olathe Middle/High School is an AVID rural school located within the Montrose County School District.  We house grades 6-12 and educate approximately 525 students.  We take pride in being able to establish relationships with our students to foster a welcoming learning environment for all students.     We strive to provide our students with the tools and education necessary to be successful in their post-secondary pursuits, whether it is college, trade school, vocational school, the military, the workforce or other ventures.  Our expectation is that every student will graduate from high school with the skills necessary to be successful.     Our teachers have extraordinary support through the school administration, our Building Resource Teacher, a strong collegial atmosphere, and an extremely supportive community. Olathe is an awesome place to be, and we are positive you will enjoy being here and part of our family.   Please visit our website at:  May include: • Plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in the school site inter�scholastic sports program. • Plan, organize, and coordinate sports activities and training workouts, and coaches individuals concerning specific physical performance activities and procedures. • Instruct and demonstrate the prin�ciples, methods and techniques of regulating the movement of body, hands, feet to achieve maximum proficiency in the related sport activity. • Observe sport participants during practice and workout sessions to detect and correct errors in activity procedures and methods. • Instruct, explain and enforce health and safety rules and regulations. • Develop and implement physical conditioning programs that allows athletes to achieve maximum performance. • Review, audit and monitor sport activity related injuries and determines the most appro�priate time for an athlete to return to active sport participation. • Select or assist in the selection of interscholastic sport activity uniforms and related sport apparatus and equipment. • Assess the athletic team skills and abilities and the opponents capabilities and determines game strategies. All Coaches and Assistant Coaches are required to have a full background check run by the Montrose County School District Prior to being hired. All Coaches and Assistant Coaches will follow all MCSD Policies and Procedures.
