About the role
Medical Receptionist The IMA Group is seeking a professional and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to support the daily operations of our medical office. This position serves as an important first point of contact for patients and visitors and is responsible for providing a welcoming experience while assisting with front desk and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment. Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are important for success in this role. Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors and provide courteous, professional customer service. Complete patient registration and check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Answer incoming calls and assist patients and visitors with questions or requests. Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Update and organize patient records while maintaining confidentiality. Complete administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scanning, and document management. Maintain an organized and professional reception area. Monitor office supplies and communicate supply needs as appropriate. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of experience in medical reception, healthcare administration, customer service, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard office equipment and software. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient information.
