The Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated machinery and systems used in the manufacturing of high-efficiency solar modules. This role is critical to ensuring continuous production, optimizing system performance, and minimizing operational downtime. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems who is passionate about renewable energy. Location: Erda, UT Duties and Responsibilities: POC / Interface for SolarEdge’s Automation group, providing support on programming, teaching and upgrades for SE’s Automation machines. Act as team professional authority. Coach and train new technicians. Responsible for Automated Assembly Machines preventive maintenance program: write and improve procedures, train crew to perform in high standard, build activity schedule and monitor progress. Lead and perform trouble shooting activities. Act as team role model while performing activities according to safety and quality high standards. Manage machinery spare parts: improve list (PN) quantity, monitor safety stock, support purchasing activity to improve cost. Proactively interact and collaborate with colleges from other sites/ departments: production, QA, Eng etc. Requirements Automation and machinery enthusiast At least 5 years’ experience with complex automated machine maintenance Certified Machinery Engineering or Practical Engineering Certified electrician certification or diploma, is a plus Deep Knowledge and experience with control systems: PLCs, sensors etc. Deep knowledge and experience with pneumatic and motion control systems Experienced with drawings: mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical. Strong written and verbal communication skills Full proficiency with computerized systems and Office PC Applications (Work, Excel, PP etc.).
