Our team partner s   with executive leaders to develop transformation strategies,   identify   enterprise-wide efficiency opportunities, redesign organizational   structures   and workflows, and implement governance models that improve decision-making, productivity, and financial performance.     Position Summary:     The Associate Director will play a leadership role in developing next-generation workforce management solutions and   the supporting   data/product models that underpin them. This role   represents   a strategic shift away from a narrow focus on staffing levels toward an integrated approach that aligns resource management, capacity management, patient flow, and ambulatory network access. The Associate Director will work closely with senior client executives and internal BRG leadership to design, build, and implement data-driven tools and frameworks that enable healthcare organizations to deliver the right care, at the right time, with the right resources.     Travel Requirements:     Willing to travel consistently ( 75% ), depending on project requirements and client expectations, is   required   for this position.      Responsibilities:   Design and develop integrated workforce management solutions that move beyond traditional staffing-level analysis to incorporate resource management, capacity management, patient flow, and ambulatory access metrics.   Lead the design of advanced models and products (e.g., demand forecasting, capacity optimization, patient-flow simulation, access-to-care modeling).   Translate complex clinical and operational data into actionable insights, dashboards, and decision-support tools for C-suite and operational leaders.   Develop reusable frameworks, templates, and methodologies that can be deployed across multiple client engagements to accelerate delivery and   maintain   quality.   Lead the integration of resource management (staffing, scheduling, productivity) with capacity management (bed, OR, and clinic throughput), patient flow (admission, discharge, transfer optimization), and ambulatory network (panel-size analysis, demand-capacity matching, third-next-available-appointment modeling, and virtual-care integration) to create holistic solutions.   Identify   opportunities to   leverage   technology, automation, and AI to enhance workforce planning and operational performance across integrated domains.   Serve as a primary day-to-day engagement lead, managing workstreams, deliverables, and client relationships with minimal supervision.   Facilitate   working sessions with clinical leaders, operations executives, finance teams, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements,   validate   models, and drive consensus.   Present findings, recommendations, and model outputs to senior client audiences in a clear, compelling manner.   Ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to BRG quality standards.   Contribute to the growth of the Workforce Management practice by developing intellectual property, white papers, and client-facing collateral.   Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, opportunity qualification, and client presentations.   Mentor and develop junior consultants and analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.     Qualifications     Bachelor’s degree   required;   Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related quantitative   field strongly   preferred.   6+ years of consulting or healthcare operations experience, with a focus on workforce management, capacity planning, operations improvement, or analytics.   Demonstrated   experience building quantitative models and analytic tools that drive operational or financial outcomes in a healthcare setting.   Experience working with health systems, hospitals, or large ambulatory networks on staffing, capacity, patient flow, or access initiatives.   Prior   exposure to ambulatory network operations, including clinic access, scheduling optimization, or care-team redesign, is a plus.   Proficiency   in SQL and at least one analytical programming language (Python or R); experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).   Strong command of Excel modeling, including scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and dashboard design.   Familiarity with healthcare data sources and systems (EHRs, workforce management platforms, ADT feeds, scheduling systems) is highly desirable.   Knowledge of simulation, optimization, or forecasting methodologies applied to healthcare operations.   Ability to synthesize complex operational and clinical concepts into structured, actionable recommendations.   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive audiences.   Strong project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and quality.   Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to client service and team development.       Salary Range:   $150,000 - $250,000 per year Job title and compensation to be   determined   based on qualifications and experience.       Candidate must be able to  submit  verification of legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.         About BRG BRG combines world-leading academic credentials with world-tested business expertise and purpose-built emerging technologies.
