About the role
Description The Department of Medicine, Section of H ematology/Oncology at Tulane University School of Medicine is actively recruiting a H ematologist with an interest in non-malignant hematology including hemostasis, thrombosis and platelet and red cell disorders. This faculty member will be expected to participate in the multi-disciplinary activities of the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, a large, federally funded hemophilia treatment center. The ideal candidate will be able to participa te in the clinical, educational and research missions of the section and the Louisiana Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, and will be expected to participate in the training of H ematology/ O ncology fellows, residents and medical students. Qualifications Candidates must qualify for appointment at the Assistant/A ssociate P rofessor level, be board certified in internal medicine and board eligible/certified in H ematology. Applicants should have a record of excellence in clinical care as well as training in clinical research. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with the level of qualifications and experience.
