Brief Overview of Position: Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for an IT Asset Management Specialist to join our growing team. We are part of a dynamic and innovative team specializing in advanced technology solutions for both government and commercial sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate with an active DoD Secret clearance to join our team for onsite support in Orlando, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to support property management accountability operations for the PEO STRI IT Service Management (ITSM) contract. Job Description: The PEO STRI IT Service Management (ITSM) contract is an Army support contract located in Orlando, FL that focuses on providing many tiers of IT services to federal employees, contractors, and external supporting agencies engaged in the development of Training, Simulation, and Instrumentation for the U.S. Army in support of today's Warfighter. The Asset Management Specialist position focuses on property management accountability operations. Responsibilities: Familiar with processes required to ensure the effective control and accountability of all Contract Acquired Property (CAP) or Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FARS/DFARS) Assists with preparation of documentation and communicate with the appropriate contract representatives related to disposition, transfer, LDD (loss, theft, damage, and destruction), fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement of CAP/GFE Determine causes of inventory discrepancies Conduct extensive research of property and supporting documents such as hand receipts, change documents, automated computer reports, review purchase orders, turn-ins, lateral transfers, etc. Resolve problems or discrepancies with the Property Management System or other responsible officials Conduct reviews of property operations, reports, and records Perform pick-up and hands-on delivery of property management activities for CAP/GFE Review and verify quantities of assets received against bills of lading, purchase requests, receiving reports and shipping documents Conduct quarterly physical inventory All other appropriate duties as and when required by management Carries out equipment and/or materials location, movement, and shipping preparation using warehouse tools such as pallet jack, forklift, strapping/wrapping machines, etc. Assists in ensuring maintenance of policies, and regulation compliance for shipment activities associated with GFE in accordance with FARS/DFARS Education, Experience, and Security Requirements: High School Diploma (or equivalent) 3 years' experience in property management DoD IAT Level I Certification Ability to obtain CompTIA A+ or Network+ Certification (Optional) Active DoD - Secret Medium – 50 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Daily pallet jack operation Physical requirements: Stand or Sit; Walk; Use Hands / Fingers to Handle or Feel; Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, or Crawl; See; Push or Pull Preferred Skills Ability to work flexible hours Ability to handle short-time scales in complex simultaneous activities Experience with Property Management Working Conditions: The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
