2026-2027 VACANCY Substitute JOB DESCRIPTION Please upload: Resume, Official College Transcript and Substitute Certificate     REPORTS TO: Campus Principal                                           APPLICATION DEADLINE: Until Filled    LENGTH OF WORK YEAR:                 As needed basis DATE REVISED: 08/26/2024 WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt   >SALARY RANGE: Level 1: $100 - Without Degree OR Substitutes with Bachelor's Degree or Teaching Certificate substituting for Instructional Aide position Level 2: $125  - With Bachelor's Degree Level 3: $185  - With valid Teaching Certificate PAY GRADE: Schedule Board Approved PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assist in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.     QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: A minimum of 30 college hours from an accredited University/College, required Substitute Training Certificate and/or valid Teaching Certificate, required Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to work well with children Ability to communicate effectively Ability to speak, write and read in English up to 12th grade level Experience: Some experience working with children            MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Adhere to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the teacher. Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups. Help supervise students throughout school day inside and outside classroom.  This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty. Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual's student. Maintain neat and orderly classroom. Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others. Perform other related duties as assigned.   WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Frequent walking Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move text books and classroom equipment Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours   FOR INSTRUCTION OUTSIDE A TYPICAL CLASSROOM SETTING (e.g. P.E.
